About Me

I am a Ph.D in Computer Science and MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. My BSc was in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Antioquia.During the last five years I have had the opportunity to collaborate and work with important research institutes from Switzerland, Sweden and England. As as member of several Spanish and European projects, my research has been on Analysis of Facial Expressions and Emotions and Human Actions in Crowded Spaces. I have worked as a consultant for the financial modules of the ERP J.D. Edwards.My areas of interest are Statistical Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning and Computer Vision. I have experience working with Bayesian Classifiers, Support Vector Machines, Case-Based Reasoning, Data Fusion, Optimization Processes, Dimensionality Reduction, Correlation Analysis and Clustering. In image processing I have worked with 3D deformable models, Appearance Models, Pictorial Models and other texture image features.My technical experience has been mainly working with Matlab, C/C++, SPSS, SQL, Access and Excel. The advanced use of these tools and other scripting tools support my efficient solutions and high work standards.
